I have worn NAOT shoes size 44 for many years. Although of average durability, they are extremely comfortable and fit me perfectly. I tried to order the same thing in a walking shoe that wouldn't look strange on the trail or cut into my feet like sandals. Attempting to order 44, the closest available size was 11, American. These are listed on the box as 11½, size 45. They are gunboats, an inch longer than my 44s. Other NAOTS are shaped like feet. These are pointy, like a boat.The uppers are some creepy rubberized material. Although they are ventilated, my feet begin to sweat almost immediately. If you want to help save cows, maybe canvas is a better choice.
